07*30*09 Orange Crush

Top: Macys
Cardigan: Worthington via JcPenney
Skirt: Kohls
Wedges: Kohls

It's orange day. I wore orange, my son wore orange, and my cube neighbor wore orange. This outfit is easy & comfy, but at the same time looks like I put thought into it. Can't beat that!

07*17*09 - A week late!

Red striped tee: Kohls
Purple swing jacket: Fossil.com
Black pants: Kohls
Black wedges: Aerosoles via DSW
Necklace: made by me
I bought this tee probably over a year ago b/c they were practically giving it away. But, I got it home, didn't like the way it fit, and let it hang in my closet until now. Then I discovered that if I wore it underneath something, I liked it a lot more. Yeah for layering! Purple and red is one of my new favorite color combos. Dark purple is almost a neutral for me - I haven't tried anything with it that I have not liked.

07*24*09 Dress turned skirt

Brown seamless tee: Banana Republic (free with coupon!)
Dress turned skirt: Kohls
Belt: Kohls
Sandals: Sears
Locket: etsy
Wearing a dress as a skirt - GENIUS! I've worn this dress once b/c it's spaghetti strap and low cut, so not office appropriate, and I was having difficulty deciding how to layer it...then I discovered that it would make an awesome skirt since it has elastic under the bust. Love it! Speaking of things I love, this tee is the softest, comfiest, most flattering tee I have ever had! BR sent me a $15 off any purchase coupon, so I scooped this up for free. It's now on final clearance, so I ordered it in navy, too. I wasn't sure about wearing flats with this - my legs felt stumpy, but I really wanted to be comfy today, so no heels for me!

07*14*09 Lots of Ruffles

Ruffle Tank: Target
Gray Cardi: Kohls
Pink Skirt: NY&CO
Brown flats: Aerosoles via DSW
Brown belt: Kohls

I picked up this super comfy skirt at NY&CO's summer clearance sale, but I'm having the same problem with it as with my red pants from yesterday. What else do I wear with it besides neutrals? I've noticed that I really don't have a big variety of neutral tops and if I have the choice while shopping, I will almost always go for color over neutrals. Now that I've realized this, I'm trying to increase my neutral wardrobe options.

I am mixing brown & gray, something I would have NEVER done before I started reading all of the lovely fashion blogs. Now its slowly becoming one of my favorite combinations. I know my pose looks a little off balance, but I liked the way my skirt looked mid-swing.

07*13*09 Red & Ruffles

Gray top: Apt. 9 via Kohls
Red Khakis: Old Navy
Black wedges: Aerosoles via DSW
Necklaces: both gifts

I tried layering necklaces today, and I really like the look. They were a little tangled when I took my pics, so no close-ups. I also really love my red khakis - the fit is great and the color is awesome! I just have the problem of what to wear with them.

07*10*09 Grab 'n go outfit

Green tank top: Mossimo via Target
Yellow top: Kohls
Pinstripe Pants: JcPenney
Wedges: Mootsies Tootsies via Kohls
Green & yellow necklace: old, I think from Bergners

I didn't plan ahead this morning, so this is the first thing I saw. I love this top. Today I put a green tank underneath it - you can't tell from the pictures, but you can see just a hint of color thru the sheer fabric. I threw on my dark purple cardi to stay warm at work. Not bad for a grab and go outfit!

07*09*09 I'm festive!

Flowery top: AGB via Bergners
Pants: AGB via Bergners
Shoes: Mossimo via Target
Necklace: H&M

This is my "festive" top, as one of my co-workers put it. No idea what that means, but I guess every day at the office is a party....ha ha. These shoes look brown in the picture, but they are actually a dark red. I love the zipper detail! And they were only $6 at Target!

07*08*09

Plaid shirt: NY&Co
Brown Tank: Mossimo via Target
Pants: JcPenney
Shoes: Coconuts via DSW
Necklace: Grandma's
Belt: Church sale
This feels blah. My challenge today was to wear a belt. I did. And I don't really like it. Maybe I should make my hubby pick out my clothes for next week.

07*07*09 Pink & Red?

Pink polo: Arizona via JcPenney
Khakis: Ann Taylor Loft ($9.88)
Button Necklace: Kohls
Red Wedges: Merona via Target
I'm wearing pink and red together - and I'm not a 6 year old girl on Valentines Day. I kind of like the unexpected combo, but I wonder how many people will think I got dressed in the dark??? And no, I didn't get dressed in the dark - I put a new light bulb in my closet last night :)

07*06*09 I need a new lightbulb!

Top: Apt. 9 via Kohls
Pants: Worthington via JcPenney
Peep toe heels: east5th via JcPenney
Necklace: Kohls
The light in my closet blew out last night, so I grabbed the easiest outfit I could find. I had planned to wear a belt with this, but I couldn't find a flashlight. Ah, Mondays....

Today is jean day at work! We make a $5 donation to a local charity, get a sticker, and wear jeans. My sticker for today is purple....hence the inspiration for my outfit :) Have a great long weekend!

07*01*09 Grrrrr

Red tee: Kohls
Black skirt: TJ Maxx (old)
Scarf: Grandma's or ebay (either way its old!)
Peep toe wedges: Aerosoles via DSW

Once again, this is a skirt I hardly ever wear. It came with a cute black and white polka dot scarf belt, but every time I put it on I felt like I was going to a sock hop. So, I tried it with the leopard scarf today. I can't decide if I like the look or not - is it cute or frumpy?
